And so it begins... a BLOG
(and 7 gals in front of a restaurant acting a'fool, but I'll get to that in a minute).
It all started in Tahoe, with some form of an orange stain on a white jacket. Fast forward 3 days later and as we all departed to our respective flights (and me to the bar), I hear "I can't wait to read your blog." So here I am, blogging.
Let me start by setting the stage, I am part George Clooney from Up in the Air, part OCD, part fashionista, part Chivette, part wife, part friend, part domestic diva, and all crazy. I avidly surf the web, Facebook creep, Tweet and follow, and generally Google the hell out of everything. Through my extensive travel and immense time on planes, in airports, or cyber-piddling, I've picked up quite a few lifehacks. Some are common sense, others are life savers, the rest just really helpful if you ever find yourself in need of that particular pointer.
Now, true to my sassy nature - I can't just call this Maria's Lifehacks. First, there's likely some proprietary mumbojumbo around the name as there are organizations and websites galore about "lifehacks"... Second, I'm just a bit more in your face, packing a bit more of a punch, and a lot more attitude into my hacks - turning them into the aptly name of LifeSMACKS. They'll smack of sass, common sense, "Really? That works?" and down right "Damn, I never thought of that!"
So this first blog of M Lifesmacks is dedicated to the Tahoe crew who I OCD scheduled, bossed around, and sassed for a weekend: Lo, the instigator and yogamamma; Woo, the bubbly fashionista; Letty, the sexy sweetheart; Sandra, the powerhouse party mamma, Julie, the den mother who's sweet smile is only out shined by her wonderfully generous heart; and Cindy, my amazing sister (in law).
Thank you all for an amazing bachelorette weekend, your patience with my bossy pants-edness, and for all the laughs. What a great time!
